A Little Inspiration

Here are some of the images I drew inspiriation from... They include colour, texture and volume.

I also looked at some images of garments created by the late Alexander McQueen. I think he is a genius with the colours and prints he used mixed with the solid structure of the garments. I loved the crazy head wear he always accessorised with his outfits.

PhebeK - The beginning of the rest of my life.
I finally decided this will be the name for my label. After many, many options and opinions of others I kept coming back to this so... DONE DEAL!!!

I've just started designing my first COLLECTION consisting of 6 complete outfits. This collection is also part of my graduation from the TAFESA Advanced Diploma Course in Fashion Design which I have been studying for 2 1/2 years.

I have mainly taken inspiration from COLOUR because I wanted my collection to be fun, lively and shimmery by using metallic colours. My colour palette will consist of Metallic Blue Sapphire, Metallic Rose, Metallic Aquamarine, Metallic Amethyst, Gold and silver with a little bit of black.

I was also inspired by VOLUME and TEXTURE. I have decided to go with oversize detailing creating alot of VOLUME in the outfits.

I am creating my own fabric which is where TEXTURE will come into my collection. But more on that later...
